The Master said a few days back, “Just look at the sky before sunrise! How splendid! How marvellous! The different mesmerizing hues that spread across the sky! This vista is more magnificent and picturesque than the sun itself! This is because, that which is going to show you The Divine will be beauty personified! The face of Sadguru who is going to show you The Lord, will be brilliance, majesty, splendour, serenity and tranquillity in its fullest form!”
Just as I am watching the gorgeous sunrise this morning, from the southernmost tip of mainland India, I could not but think of The Master’s glorious face, and I begin jotting down my thoughts. We may tour the entire world looking for beauty, and we try and capture the landscape in snapshots. We only end up getting bushed and bronzed.
But there is this sight we can choose to behold, which is the most beautiful ever. And that is the Divine Face of The Master. When we witness it, we experience sheer radiance that melts our being.
The magic it does is, once we witness it, anything we see looks beautiful and Divine. Wherever we go, we add beauty there. This is because, when we are unhappy, even the most beautiful things seem irritating, even our favourite music seems like noise, even candy makes us nauseate. But when we are at peace, everything seems pleasant and magical. Even that which is disturbing, doesn’t affect us. The Master’s serene presence gives us the calm that makes everything seem enchanting. And we would no longer search for beauty here and there; we will find every place is blissdul, and every happening is a celebration.
Such beauty is He, that we know if we are going to find the Divine, it is right here. This beauty is eternal. His Divine face is an eternal sunrise; His Smile is the early morning dew that never dries; His Compassion is a monsoon that showers forever; His very Presence is vapour that is ever rising Devotion in us. The Divine that is keeping all the planets in place, The Divine which is making our heart beat, The Divine which is making the whole cosmos work – we don’t have to go to the nucleus of the universe to be in touch with it. It is right here, at His Beautiful Divine Face!
As I am penning this down, the sun has risen. And in the rays that have lit up the world, I can see a heavenly representation of His Compassionate eyes that have taken us in His Hold. Then, slowly, as sunrise was peeking over the horizon, I could see His heart-melting Smile that brushes away our deepest sorrow and instils eternal joy in us.
Wow! What a delightful sunrise that was!!
